### Top Peabody Researchers Excel in 2024 Edu-Scholar Rankings

Camilla P. Benbow, Jason Grissom, Carolyn Heinrich, and Rich Milner were recently recognized by Education Week in the 2024 edition of the annual list honoring influential education researchers. This prestigious list, curated by Frederick M. Hess, director of education policy at the American Enterprise Institute, highlights individuals who have made significant contributions to educational policy and practice.

According to Hess, being among the top 200 researchers out of over 20,000 university-based education researchers is a remarkable achievement. The rankings are determined based on various criteria such as Google scholar scores, the number of book publications, Amazon book rankings, mentions in education media, and citations by members of Congress.

The four esteemed Vanderbilt faculty members who were included in last year’s rankings have once again secured positions in the 2024 list:

  • Camilla P. Benbow, Patricia and Rodes Hart Dean of Education and Human Development, Office of the Dean, Department of Psychology and Human Development
  • Jason Grissom, Patricia and Rodes Hart Chair and professor of leadership, policy, and organizations; faculty director, Tennessee Education Research Alliance
  • Carolyn Heinrich, Patricia and Rodes Hart Professor of Public Policy and Education, Department of Leadership, Policy, and Organizations
  • Rich Milner, Cornelius Vanderbilt Chair in Education, Department of Teaching and Learning
