### Ranking of Arkansas Community Colleges: PCCUA Secures Third and Fourth Positions

Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) has achieved the impressive ranking of #3 among Arkansas’ top community colleges according to a recent assessment conducted by BestColleges.com. Similarly, the Higher Education team at Intelligent.com positioned PCCUA at #4 in their own evaluation.

Renowned for aiding students in their college selection process, both BestColleges.com and Intelligent.com have simplified the task of identifying the most suitable higher education institutions.

BestColleges.com’s assessment encompassed various criteria such as affordability, student outcomes, flexibility, accessibility, reputation, ease of admissions, and student diversity. Data utilized for this evaluation was sourced from the National Center for Education Statistics and the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard.

On the other hand, Intelligent.com’s ranking focused on nonprofit, accredited institutions—both public and private—that uphold high standards of academic quality in post-secondary education. The evaluation process involved comparing a comprehensive list of colleges to combined rankings from reputable publications like U.S. News & World Report. Factors taken into consideration included tuition fees, admission policies, retention and graduation rates, faculty quality, institutional reputation, and available student resources.

Dr. Keith Pinchback, Chancellor of PCCUA, expressed pride in the institution’s recent rankings, attributing the success to the unwavering dedication of the faculty and staff across all campuses. He emphasized PCCUA’s continuous efforts to enhance the educational experience for students, adapting to the evolving landscape of higher education.

Dr. Pinchback highlighted PCCUA’s distinctive features, including its regional accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission and its exclusive recognition as the sole Achieving the Dream (ATD) Leader College of Distinction in Arkansas, a rare accolade achieved by only a select few institutions nationwide.

PCCUA offers students a range of flexible course options, including online classes and on-campus instruction across its three locations, catering to diverse schedules and commuting needs. Additionally, students have the opportunity to pursue an Associate of Arts degree through online programs. The college also extends various financial aid initiatives, scholarships, and specialized opportunities for high-achieving students, whether in the academic or technical track.
