### Recognizing Dwight E. Collins, PhD, for Achievements in Environmental Sustainability and Higher Education

Since 2003, Dr. Collins has been the president of Colbridge and Company, a firm that offers consulting services in sustainable business, eco-friendly supply chain design, and sustainable management training.

SAN RAFAEL, CA, April 11, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ – Dwight E. Collins, PhD, has been chosen for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who. Dr. Collins has a distinguished background in supply chain optimization and environmental sustainability. Recently, he served as the Dean Emeritus of the MBA program at Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco starting in 2021. His influence on the institution’s direction and impact has been significant, having served as Dean from 2013 to 2015 and co-founded the Experiential Learning Program in 2006. Dr. Collins taught the Sustainable Operations and Supply Chain Management course from the school’s inception until 2021 and remains an integral part of the Faculty Council.

Additionally, Dr. Collins co-designed and instructed an executive certificate program in managing sustainability at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey in 2009-10. He also lectured in Bainbridge Graduate Institute’s MBA Program from 2003 to 2005. Prior to his time at Presidio, Dr. Collins held a senior management position at Aspen Technology from 1998 to 2002, where he directed AspenTech’s Strategic Planning Practice. His role involved providing strategic planning optimization consulting services to senior executives. During his tenure as a senior consultant at Chesapeake Decision Sciences from 1985 to 1998, Dr. Collins implemented supply chain optimization capabilities in various industries including automobile, semiconductor, chemicals, and carpet manufacturing. Earlier in his career, he worked as an operations research analyst at Exxon Mobil Corporation from 1980 to 1985, where he developed a large-scale model of the world coal market among other projects.

Dr. Collins has co-authored publications on supply chain design and operation, sustainable management curriculum design, sustainable business practices viewed through a cultural evolution lens, and on revitalizing values and vision in management education. He is the president of the Collins Educational Foundation, established in 1999 to lead efforts towards sustainable living on Earth. The foundation has organized significant conferences and published influential books. Looking forward, Dr. Collins is dedicated to identifying and seizing opportunities that enhance the human condition and ensure the sustainability of life on our planet.

Dr. Collins’ career trajectory was significantly influenced by his service in the U.S. Air Force. He attended Cornell University, earning a Bachelor of Science in engineering physics in 1968 and a Doctor of Philosophy in operations research in 1973. This educational background has been instrumental in his professional success.

As a testament to his dedication to his field, Dr. Collins is a member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences, where he was part of the meetings committee from 2000 to 2008.
