### LSU Women’s Basketball Embarks on Study Abroad Program in Greece and Croatia

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The LSU women’s basketball team is set to embark on a unique summer program with visits to Greece and Croatia planned for this year.

During this 10-day foreign tour, the team will delve into various aspects including history, regional insights, sports, and social dynamics. This initiative, organized by LSU in collaboration with the athletics department, international department, and the Center for Community Engagement, Learning and Leadership (CCELL), aims to provide student-athletes with a valuable study abroad experience while allowing them to earn course credits.

Supporters interested in contributing to the team’s journey can donate to the cause. Additionally, travel packages will be released in mid-February for fans eager to join the team on this enriching tour.

The itinerary includes visits to Croatian cities such as Split and Dubrovnik, as well as Greek destinations like Athens and Santorini, as reported by LSU. The team will explore ancient Split, ascend Mount Srd for panoramic views, visit The Parthenon in Greece, and unwind on the beaches of Santorini while enjoying dinner and leisure time to explore the island.

Although specific dates and times are pending confirmation, LSU anticipates that the trip will take place in early August 2024.
