### Recipients of Sustainable Development Research Grants Revealed by Graduate School

The Sustainable Development Research Grants for graduate students have been awarded by the Graduate School at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

These grants, totaling $40,000, are designed to assist research that tackles urgent local and global challenges in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The primary objectives of these grants are to exhibit UL Lafayette graduate student research, prioritize sustainable development in Louisiana, and emphasize the interconnection of economic growth, social inclusion, and environmental protection. They offer initial funding for inventive projects, recognize completed projects, and establish a collection of research that will be presented at the Graduate Student Sustainable Development Research Summit on April 12, 2024.

This initiative is a component of a broader partnership involving five campus units: Academic Affairs—Student and Faculty Excellence, the Graduate School, the Office of Campus Inclusion, the Office of Sustainability, and Dr. Brian Bolton, who serves as a professor of Finance and holds the Dwight W. Andrus, Jr. / BORSF Eminent Scholar Endowed Chair in Finance.
