In Towson, Maryland, the William & Mary women’s gymnastics team wrapped up its regular season schedule with an outstanding performance, achieving the seventh-highest score in school history (194.825) at a tri-meet hosted by Towson on Friday evening.
This remarkable display of skill marked the team’s second consecutive meet where they secured one of the top scores in the program’s history. Just last weekend at Temple, W&M earned the sixth-best total (194.925) in the school’s records.
The team from Towson clinched the team title with an impressive 197.500 score, with George Washington following closely behind at 197.200, and W&M securing third place with their score of 194.825.
Aside from the overall team achievement, the Tribe also excelled in individual performances, notably achieving the third-best score on bars in program history (49.000) and matching the school’s 10th-best performance on beam (48.700).
Catherine Bare stood out in W&M’s individual performances by tying for second place on bars, delivering a stellar performance that equalled the second-best score in school history with a career-high 9.900.
Other standout performances for the Tribe included Sarah Kuper (9.750, equalling her season high) and Sofia Huang (9.750) on vault, Caroline Blatchford on beam (9.825, a career high), and Michelle Ngo on floor (9.800).
