With an official visit now planned, 4-star RB Byron Louis says ‘FSU is definitely one of my top schools’

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage four-star running back made his way back to on Saturday for their Spring Showcase. Exiting the visit, he has already locked in a return. Louis shared on Sunday morning that he will return to Tallahassee on the weekend of June 21st for his official visit. He reflected on his Saturday in Tallahassee when he spoke exclusively with Noles247 on Sunday morning. Exiting the visit, it is clear that FSU is a top contender for his services.

“FSU is definitely one of my top schools,” Louis said.

He has been to FSU three times so far in 2024. He made a Junior Day visit in January, returned for Legacy Weekend in late March, and then was in for the spring finale on Saturday.

The Spring Showcase impressed the 5-foot-11, 200-pound back with how the team and players approached it. The fan support inside Doak Campbell Stadium also made an impression upon him.

“How everyone was locked in and the fans were excited,” Louis said of what stood out about the day.

He was specifically focused on the running back ground under position coach . That group turned in highlights via , , and

“Those guys did great,” Louis said of the backs. “I would fit in perfectly with my skillset and mentality to learn.”

Another FSU running back, albeit one that is about to hear his name in the NFL Draft, , also got into contact with Louis.

“Amazing,” Louis said of that conversation. “Super cool guy. I wish him nothing but the best at the next level.”
