Where Westborough High School Was Ranked On 2024 U.S. News List

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough High School was ranked as one of the top high schools in Massachusetts — and high on a national ranking — on the U.S. News & World Report 2024 list of the best high schools released Tuesday.

Westborough ranked No. 27 overall in Massachusetts, and No. 696 in the U.S. (that’s out of 25,000 nationwide).

U.S. News picks the top high schools based on students who score high on math, reading and science assessments, as well as strong performance among under-served students. The magazine also counts graduation rates and college readiness as part of the assessment.

U.S. News ranked 405 high schools across Massachusetts. Westborough fell in between Needham High School (26) and Wellesley High School (28). The top 10 high schools in Massachusetts were:

  • Boston Latin School, Boston, 50th nationally
  • Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion School, Hadley, 57th nationally
  • The Bromfield School, Harvard, 154th nationally
  • Sturgis Charter Public School, Hyannis, 179th nationally
  • Dover-Sherborn High School, Dover, 189th nationally
  • Lexington High School, Lexington, 221st nationally
  • Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School, Marlborough, 253rd nationally
  • Belmont High School, Belmont, 290th nationally
  • Acton-Boxboro Regional School, Acton, 338th nationally
  • Weston High School, Weston, 355th nationally
