Where Lincoln-Sudbury High School Was Ranked On 2024 U.S. News List

SUDBURY, MA — Lincoln-Sudbury High School was ranked among the top 100 high schools in Massachusetts on the U.S. News & World Report 2024 list of the best high schools released Tuesday.

Lincoln-Sudbury ranked No. 85 overall in Massachusetts, and No. 2,101 in the U.S. (that’s out of 25,000 nationwide). Lincoln-Sudbury’s state ranking puts it in the top 20 percent of all high schools in the state.

U.S. News picks the top high schools based on students who score high on math, reading and science assessments, as well as strong performance among under-served students. The magazine also counts graduation rates and college readiness as part of the assessment. Lincoln-Sudbury ranked best (No. 35 statewide) for the share of students who scored well on state assessments.

U.S. News ranked 405 high schools across Massachusetts. Lincoln-Sudbury fell in between Oliver Ames High School (84) in North Easton and Marblehead High School (86). The top 10 high schools in Massachusetts were:

  • Sturgis Charter Public School, Hyannis, 179th nationally

  • Lexington High School, Lexington, 221st nationally
  • Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School, Marlborough, 253rd nationally
  • Belmont High School, Belmont, 290th nationally
  • Acton-Boxboro Regional School, Acton, 338th nationally
  • Weston High School, Weston, 355th nationally
