**Top-Ranked UT Online Education Programs in the United States**

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has been recognized in the 2024 Best Online Education Programs rankings by U.S. News & World Report, which was announced on February 7th.

UT is actively expanding its online learning offerings and has been acknowledged for excellence in four key categories: Best Online Business Programs for Veterans, Best Online Master’s in Business Programs (non-MBA), Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs, and Best Online Bachelor’s Degrees.

Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor John Zomchick expressed enthusiasm about this achievement, stating, “It’s exciting to see this recognition for our online programs. The rankings reflect our commitment to provide outstanding learning opportunities and support to students in ways that fit their work and family commitments.”

In the realm of Best Online Business Programs for Veterans, UT’s non-MBA master’s programs in business secured the 7th spot. The university’s programs offered through the Haslam College of Business also ranked 18th in the Best Online Master’s in Business (non-MBA) category. These rankings consider factors such as affordability, accessibility, and program reputation.

Amber Williams, vice provost for student success, highlighted the university’s dedication to supporting veterans, stating, “All of our programs and services…have grown from listening to our veterans and meeting them where they are.”

UT’s online master’s programs in the Tickle College of Engineering claimed the 42nd spot in the Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs category, encompassing various disciplines such as civil engineering, computer science, and industrial engineering. Additionally, the university’s online bachelor’s programs secured the 71st position.

With nearly a million Tennesseans holding some college credit but no degree, UT has established an online platform to cater to these learners, breaking down barriers and creating new educational prospects. The university is dedicated to providing accessible and quality online learning opportunities for all Tennesseans while addressing the state’s workforce requirements.

The methodology behind the rankings involved surveys sent to 222 schools, with assessments based on factors like student engagement, faculty qualifications, and available services and technologies. The Best Online Programs for Veterans category specifically recognizes schools that excel in online program rankings, are G.I. Bill and Yellow Ribbon Program certified, and have a substantial enrollment of student veterans.
