– Top Choice for 2025 Minnesota Prospect, Linebacker Emmanuel Karmo: USC Football

USC football has secured a position on the Top 7 schools list for three-star 2025 Minneapolis (Minn.) linebacker, alongside Ohio State, Oregon, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Penn State, and Nebraska.

Emmanuel Karmo, standing at 6-foot-2.5 and weighing 222 pounds, is ranked as the No. 374 overall prospect and the No. 42 linebacker by the 247Sports Composite. Within the 247Sports rankings, he holds the No. 63 spot among linebackers.

During his junior year, Karmo primarily played as an outside linebacker, where he showcased his skills by accumulating 48 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, two sacks, and two defensive touchdowns from interceptions and fumble recoveries. Additionally, he demonstrated versatility by contributing offensively with 15 receptions for 294 yards and three touchdowns. USC’s linebackers coach, Matt Entz, extended an offer to Karmo in late January, recognizing his potential and abilities.

Described as a twitchy and athletic defender, Karmo exhibits agility, quickness, and a knack for making plays in the backfield. Possessing a background in defensive back play, he shows promise in coverage as well. While his body type and skill set suggest suitability for a 3-4 outside linebacker or a hybrid overhang role, his adaptability allows him to fit into various defensive schemes. With the potential to serve as a versatile asset on the field, Karmo is poised to make an impact at any school he chooses.
