**Policy Roundtables on Education Reform in Nigeria Hosted by UK-Funded CSO**

Beta Nigeria (BN), a movement dedicated to enhancing educational outcomes in Nigeria, has wrapped up a series of roundtable discussions focusing on pressing education reforms.

Initiated in January 2024 and finalized in late March of the same year, these discussions brought together various stakeholders from civil society, executives representing media outlets, and experts in education policy.

Abdulsalam Badamasi, the federal lead of Beta Nigeria, emphasized that the roundtables were convened to amplify the advocacy for education reform in the country.

According to Badamasi, revamping Nigeria’s education system is a crucial investment in the nation’s future stability and prosperity, addressing the existing crisis that jeopardizes the prospects of millions of Nigerians.

Highlighting the importance of universal education, Badamasi stated, “By ensuring that all Nigerian children have access to education, remain enrolled, and acquire knowledge, we can foster a more resilient, secure, and prosperous nation.”

Funded by the UK government, Beta Nigeria, under Badamasi’s leadership, advocates for increased investment in all levels of education – primary, secondary, and tertiary.

Badamasi underscored the necessity for heightened government accountability to drive the transformation of Nigeria’s education sector, noting the unified commitment from stakeholders in this regard.

Moreover, Beta Nigeria aims to expand its advocacy beyond conventional Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to include a wider array of organizations, fostering a collaborative effort towards education reform.

Emphasizing the collective responsibility shared by politicians, educators, parents, and their supporters, Badamasi reiterated the movement’s commitment to advocating for actions that improve educational opportunities across Nigeria.
