The University of La Verne, situated in California, stood out as one of only seven private institutions in the state to secure a spot on the prestigious list of the Best Education Schools, among a total of 255 educational institutions nationwide. The University’s LaFetra College of Education has solidified its position as a prominent establishment in nurturing educators and leaders equipped to tackle the contemporary challenges faced by schools and swiftly evolving organizations. The college boasts a diverse array of programs focusing on teaching preparation, leadership, educational counseling, school psychology, and child and adolescent development. Recently, the university forged a new collaboration with AASA, the School Superintendents Association, aiming to enhance professional development, introduce innovative programs, share resources, and establish a premier West Coast center for AASA members and related activities supporting K-12 school district leaders nationwide.
The University of La Verne, a distinguished institution accredited by the globally renowned Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) Commission, offers a range of degrees. The 50th year celebration of the MPA program is a significant milestone, offering specialized degrees in urban management and affairs, nonprofit management, public health, and a unique JD/MPA dual degree program in collaboration with the University of La Verne College of Law and Public Service.

Graduates from the University of La Verne have found success in various sectors such as local government, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Recent reports from graduating classes indicate that approximately 69 percent are employed in public sector roles spanning local, state, and federal agencies, 26 percent are engaged in the nonprofit sector, while the remainder work in the private sector. Popular career paths include nonprofit management and public policy.
