– U.S. News Ranks Two Florida Law Schools in Top 50

Florida now has two law schools ranked in the top 50 nationwide, with a total of five schools in the top 100, as reported by U.S. News and World Report.

The University of Florida’s law school, previously ranked 22nd, is now tied for 28th place in the latest rankings. Conversely, FSU’s law school has seen significant progress, jumping eight spots to rank 48th.

While three other Florida law schools experienced a drop in rankings from the previous year, they still maintain positions in the top 100. Florida International University is at 68th place, the University of Miami at 82nd, and Stetson University at 98th.

U.S. News evaluates law schools based on various factors, including students’ job placements post-graduation, Bar exam pass rates, and feedback from legal professionals and academics from other law institutions.

The top five law schools in Florida according to U.S. News are as follows:

  • University of Florida (tied at 28th, down 6)
  • Florida State University (tied at 48th, up 8)
  • Florida International University (tied at 68th, down 8)
  • University of Miami (tied at 82nd, down 11)
  • Stetson University (tied at 98th, down 14)

Stanford University and Yale University share the top spot in the overall rankings.
