### Enrollment Rates Ranking of California’s Top Universities

As the most populous state in the country, California provides education to hundreds of thousands of college students annually. The state houses the largest higher-education system in the United States, as reported by the Public Policy Institute of California. The University of California system, consisting of 10 campuses, serves as the primary academic research institution in the state, while the California State University system stands as the largest public four-year higher-education system in the nation. Additionally, numerous community colleges and private universities are spread across California’s landscape, offering a diverse range of educational opportunities.
