**High Court Rules Ban on Prayer Rituals at Leading London School Not Unlawful**

A prohibition on prayer ceremonies at a distinguished state school in England, renowned for its stringent disciplinary policies and prominent headteacher, has been deemed lawful by a high court judge.

The legal challenge against Michaela Community School in Brent, situated in north-west England, was initiated by a Muslim student identified as TTT during the court proceedings. The student alleged that the prohibition constituted discrimination and violated her religious freedom rights.

The verdict was delivered in writing on Tuesday by Mr. Justice Linden following a two-day court session in January at the High Court in London. The court learned that the prayer prohibition was implemented in March the previous year by the school’s founder, a former government social mobility tsar.
