In the eagerly awaited Inter-School Reading School Quiz, Sterling Heights Academy has emerged as the leading school in the Qualification Stage.
As per the latest data released by the organizers, Perbi Cubs, the Asante Mampong-based institution achieved an impressive average of 63.21 points, solidifying its position as a strong contender in the reading challenge.
Following closely behind are Theorose School and Startrite Schools, with 56.88 and 37.67 points, respectively.
During the three-week challenge, these schools showcased exceptional commitment to instilling a culture of reading among their students.
The points accumulated by the cubs (students) significantly impacted their school’s overall standing and qualification for the main event.
To maintain participant interest and motivation, a daily ranking of the top 20 schools was published. This transparent approach enables schools to monitor their progress, benchmark their performance against others, and promote healthy competition while encouraging continuous enhancement of reading habits.
The assessment criteria for determining the top schools extended beyond total reading points to encompass the school population, ensuring a fair and inclusive evaluation where schools of all sizes had an equal opportunity to shine and succeed in the competition.
The Inter-School Reading Quiz, a collaborative effort between Perbi Cubs and UNESCO’s Accra World Book Capital, aims to enhance literacy skills among twenty thousand primary school students nationwide.
