### Top-Ranked Purdue Online Engineering Master’s Degrees

WEST LAFAYETTE— Purdue University’s online master’s degrees in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, and engineering management have once again secured top positions in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings of best online programs.

For the year 2024, Purdue’s online master’s degrees in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, and engineering management have all claimed the No. 1 spot, marking the fifth consecutive year for industrial and mechanical engineering and the third year for engineering management.

Furthermore, the College of Education at Purdue has shown significant progress in the rankings, climbing eight places to secure the No. 15 position in the U.S., up from No. 23. Particularly, the online master’s program in curriculum and instruction has achieved a remarkable feat by advancing 13 spots to No. 6 from its previous ranking of No. 19 in 2023.

In the latest rankings unveiled on Wednesday (Feb. 7), Purdue’s engineering master’s degrees are tied with Penn State at No. 3 nationally. Additionally, Purdue’s online civil engineering master’s program has been ranked No. 2, while the online electrical engineering master’s program holds the No. 3 position.

Purdue has also been recognized as No. 5 in online engineering master’s programs for veterans. These achievements place Purdue among the top contenders out of 109 U.S. colleges and universities evaluated for the rankings.

Arvind Raman, Purdue’s John A. Edwardson Dean of the College of Engineering, expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing recognition of their online engineering programs. He emphasized the importance of innovative online education in expanding student opportunities and meeting the workforce demands effectively.

Within the College of Education, the programs in learning design and technology, educational administration, and special education have been ranked No. 10, No. 11, and No. 13, respectively. These accolades reinforce the college’s position as the top in Indiana and within the top 5% of online master’s in education programs nationwide.

Phillip J. VanFossen, interim dean of the College of Education, commended the faculty for their dedication to delivering high-quality online learning experiences, which have been duly recognized in the recent rankings.
