AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Several CSRA high schools are ranked as “Best High Schools” in the latest listing from U.S. News & World Report.
In Aiken County, the Aiken Scholars Academy ranked as the No. 2 high school in South Carolina and No. 28 in the coutnry.
Across the Savannah River, two Richmond County high schools ranked in the top 15 for Georgia, and all five of the Columbia County School District’s high schools were somewhere on the “Best High Schools” list.
Of the nearly 25,000 public high schools across the nation, approximately 17,655 high schools were ranked.
The school rankings list is based on excellence in serving students in six key areas: college readiness, college curriculum breadth, state assessment proficiency and performance, and graduation rate.

- Screven County High School, No. 110 in Georgia, No. 4,374 in the United States
- Grovetown High School, No. 145 in Georgia, No. 5,818 in the United States
- Evans High School, No. 161 in Georgia, No. 6,487 in the United States
- Emanuel County Institute, No. 216 in Georgia, No. 8,700 in the United States
- Burke County High School, No. 231 in Georgia, No. 9,312 in the United States
