Beyond the limelight, all MAO contestants advocate for a Community Service Initiative, supporting causes of personal importance. Williams’s initiative, R.I.S.E. Up for After School: Advocating for the Affordability and Accessibility of Afterschool Programs, mirrors her dedication to education and ensuring all children have access to quality afterschool care.

An esteemed alumna of NKU, Williams earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in Spring 2023. Throughout her undergraduate years, Kandice actively participated in campus life, including serving as the president of Educators Rising Collegiate and as a Resident Assistant for two years, fostering community and mentorship among peers.

Within the College of Education, Kandice was deeply engaged, contributing to various boards and committees to advance the pursuit of excellence in teaching and learning.

Currently pursuing her Master of Arts in the Teacher as Leader Program with a specialization in Gifted and Talented, Williams showcases her ongoing dedication to professional development and academic achievement.
