Scholarship Opportunity for Chicagoland Students in the Financial Services Industry
CHICAGO, IL April 2, 2024 – The Security Traders Association of Chicago (STAC), an organization for securities industry professionals in Chicago and an affiliate of The Security Traders Association (STA), is currently inviting applications for its Scholarship program for the academic year 2024 – 2025.
This scholarship program is accessible to eligible college students and high school seniors in the Chicagoland area who are eager to pursue careers in the financial services sector. It is inclusive of all Chicago area students, irrespective of any STAC affiliation. While STAC members, their spouses, and dependent children are eligible to apply, having a direct relationship with a STAC member is not a prerequisite for application. Interested applicants are required to submit their completed applications and accompanying documents online via the STAC website. The digital application and comprehensive eligibility criteria can be accessed on the website, and the application window is open until April 17, 2024.
Ginny Kowalczyk, the Vice President of STAC, expressed, “The establishment of the STAC Fund aims to provide support for the academic pursuits of deserving Chicagoland students and foster financial awareness and literacy among them.” She further highlighted, “Through the generosity of our STAC members, we were able to award over $54,000 in scholarships to 18 outstanding local students during the 2023 – 2024 academic year. We are excited to uphold this valuable tradition and urge all local high school seniors and college students to seize the opportunity to become part of a remarkable cohort of Chicago youth who have benefitted from the STAC Fund Scholarship program.”
Founded in 1991 by STAC as a 501c3 organization, the STAC Fund is dedicated to granting college scholarships to deserving students and providing financial support to charitable and educational institutions. The organization focuses on giving back to deserving individuals and entities within the Chicagoland community while promoting financial literacy. Over the last decade, the STAC Fund has dispersed over $500,000 in charitable contributions and scholarship grants, thanks to the generosity of STAC members, sponsors, and supporters.
