### Switzerland Science Educator with Potential Head of Science Position

The International School of Ticino is in search of a science educator proficient in DP chemistry to join the team by September 2024, with the potential opportunity to advance to the Head of Science position.

ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Established in September 2014, our school is a part of the ISE network, which spans across Italy and Switzerland. Experiencing consistent growth, we currently cater to 270 students aged 3-18.

In January 2021, the International School of Ticino became the sole IB continuum school in the region. Our inaugural DP class graduated in July 2023 with exceptional achievements. The upcoming cohort is poised for outstanding results, with students securing admissions to prestigious universities such as Cambridge, Bocconi, Lausanne, and other renowned institutions.

THE ROLE

The International School of Ticino is on the lookout for a science teacher specializing in DP chemistry to join us in September 2024, with the potential for assuming the role of Head of Science.

An ideal candidate would relish the chance to contribute to the growth of an IB school and possess experience in teaching various age groups and proficiency levels within the secondary school bracket (11-18 years).

The position offers a permanent contract, and our location provides the option to reside by Lake Lugano in Switzerland or Lake Como in Italy.

Key Qualifications for IST Applicants:

  • Possession of a university degree in a relevant field and a suitable teaching certification
  • Recent, verifiable experience in teaching secondary students aged 11-18
  • Enthusiasm, passion, and effective communication skills in teaching
  • EU passport holder or valid work visa for Switzerland
  • Previous exposure to IB programs is mandatory; additional IB training and relocation support will be provided.
