### Top Law School in India: O.P. Jindal Global University Secures Leading Position in QS University Rankings

The O.P. Jindal Global University, recognized as the leading law school in India and ranked 72nd globally in the QS World University Rankings for Law and Legal Studies 2024, has achieved this distinction through a rigorous evaluation process. QS evaluated nearly 5,000 institutions based on factors such as academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations, H-index, and International Research Network (IRN), resulting in rankings across 55 subjects and 5 broad subject areas, totaling over 19,100 entries.

In addition to JGLS, two other Indian law schools have secured positions on the prestigious list this year. The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, obtained a ranking between 151-200, while the Faculty of Law at the University of Delhi was placed in the 201-250 range.

Naveen Jindal, the Founding Chancellor of O.P. Jindal Global University, expressed pride in JGLS’s consistent recognition as India’s top law school, highlighting its unwavering commitment to providing high-quality education. He emphasized the institution’s rapid rise to prominence within a decade, attributing its success to the dedication of the faculty and staff in elevating legal education standards.

Professor (Dr) C Raj Kumar, the Founding Vice Chancellor of O.P. Jindal University, celebrated JGLS’s five-year streak as India’s top law school and its global ranking at 72nd place. He underscored the institution’s exponential growth since its establishment in 2009, noting its current student body of over 5,500 and faculty of over 550 members. This remarkable progress is credited to JGLS’s innovative pedagogy, teaching excellence, research achievements, and international collaborations, solidifying its position as the premier law school in India.

Notably, JGLS has surpassed renowned institutions worldwide in the QS rankings, outperforming universities such as the University of Nottingham, UK; University of Texas at Austin, USA; Waseda University, Japan; and others. This recognition underscores JGLS’s commitment to academic excellence and its standing as a global leader in legal education.
