### Jan. 10 High School Boys Soccer Top 10 Rankings by Press-Telegram

The rankings of the top high school boys soccer teams in the Long Beach area as per the Press-Telegram are as follows:

BOYS SOCCER TOP 10

(Statistics updated until Tuesday, Jan. 9)

1. Millikan (9-2-3): Aaron De Leon, a senior player, has scored 12 goals in 14 games. The Rams, reigning Moore League champions, have secured significant victories against Long Beach Poly at No. 2 and Wilson at No. 3 this season. Upcoming matches include clashes with Lakewood at No. 7, Cabrillo at No. 10, and Poly at No. 2 in the next two weeks.

2. Long Beach Poly (8-2-2): The Jackrabbits triumphed over Wilson at No. 3 with a 3-2 score on Dec. 20. They are scheduled to face Cabrillo at No. 10, Lakewood at No. 7, and Millikan at No. 1 in the upcoming weeks. Additionally, Long Beach Poly faced a 1-0 defeat against Los Alamitos on Dec. 22.

3. Wilson (6-3-2): Occupying the second spot in the Moore League, the Bruins suffered a 3-1 loss to Millikan at No. 1 on Monday and a 3-2 defeat against Long Beach Poly at No. 2 on Dec. 30. Wilson also had a 1-1 draw with Downey at No. 4 on Dec. 30.

4. Downey (5-3-4): Climbing up the rankings, the Vikings achieved a 1-0 victory in overtime against Paramount at No. 5 on Jan. 3. They also had a 2-2 draw with Long Beach Poly on Dec. 27 and a 1-1 draw with Wilson on Dec. 30.

5. Paramount (11-2-1): The Pirates have emerged victorious in four of their last six matches. Despite a 4-3 loss to Long Beach Poly at No. 2 on Dec. 11 and a 1-0 overtime loss to Downey at No. 4 on Jan. 3.

6. Artesia (12-0-2): Remaining unbeaten, the Pioneers are the sole undefeated team in the region. They shared a 1-1 tie with Bellflower at No. 8 on Dec. 2 and hold a 3-0 record in 605 League matches.

7. Lakewood (7-2-3): With just one goal conceded in four Moore League games, the Lancers drew 0-0 with Poly at No. 2 on Dec. 13 and suffered a 1-0 loss to Wilson at No. 3 on Dec. 18. Starting the New Year with a 3-0 victory against Cabrillo at No. 10 on Monday.

8. Bellflower (6-1-2): Riding a six-game winning streak, the Buccaneers will face Gahr in their upcoming league match.

9. Los Alamitos (7-8): Defeating Long Beach Poly at No. 2 with a 1-0 score on Dec. 22, the Griffins have maintained a 3-3 record since that game.

10. Cabrillo (6-5-1): Positioned fifth in the Moore League, Cabrillo is set to host Millikan at No. 1 on Friday.
