The business school at the University of Pennsylvania houses over 20 research centers and initiatives covering various fields such as analytics, public policy, and social impact. Its research activities lead to the development of new courses, programs, and collaborations bridging academia, industry, and government to tackle significant global business challenges.

Unsurprisingly, Wharton has recently ranked first in two prominent research evaluations: The Financial Times’ annual research ranking and the UT-Dallas North American and Worldwide rankings.

Meanwhile, since 2016, we have been honoring the “Best and Brightest” business students, a list that consistently garners high readership.

To compile the list of 100 outstanding students, we request the top 50 schools from our annual undergraduate business school ranking to nominate two graduating students who exemplify the “Best & Brightest” criteria.

This year’s roster features 60 female students and individuals from diverse national backgrounds. They represent a diverse array of talents, ranging from top athletes and social advocates to military veterans and startup pioneers.

Introducing three innovative business concepts:

  • A new EV charging network tailored for urban residents.
  • A digital incentive spirometer and mobile application aimed at enhancing post-operative recovery.
  • A novel platform for incoming college students to connect and access essential campus resources.

These ventures, developed by student entrepreneurs, are among the 14 finalists in this year’s BIG IdeaBounce® competition powered by Poets&Quants. Hosted by the Olin Business School at Washington University, the pitch event attracted 120 participants globally.

The finalists will vie for the top prize of $50,000 before a panel of judges at Olin.
