– Top Schools Compete for Four-Star Ohio Prospect

The upcoming three months are crucial for Pitt as they pursue a highly sought-after four-star prospect from Ohio.

According to Pittsburgh Sports Now, linebacker Grant Beerman has placed Pitt in his top five choices and is nearing his decision deadline, aiming to finalize his college selection by the end of June.

Beerman expressed his gratitude for the warm reception during his recent visit to Pitt on March 8th, emphasizing the personalized attention he and his family received from the coaching staff. He highlighted the in-depth discussions with various coaches, including coach Manalac and coach Narduzzi, as well as the tour of the business school to explore academic opportunities within the program.

During the visit, Beerman observed Pitt’s Spring Practice alongside a fellow recruit, witnessing the team’s intensity and energy on the field. He commended the coaching staff, particularly defensive coordinator Randy Bates and linebackers coach Ryan Manalac, for their consistent efforts in recruiting him.

Despite Pitt’s challenges in the previous season, Beerman remains optimistic about the program’s future success under the guidance of coach Narduzzi. He praised the team’s defensive strategies and the coaching staff’s dedication to improvement.

As a 6-foot-4, 215-pound linebacker, Beerman boasts an impressive track record with notable achievements on the field, showcasing his agility, intelligence, and leadership skills.

Beerman, who hails from West Chester, Ohio, is considering offers from various universities, including Cincinnati, West Virginia, Purdue, and Michigan State. He envisions contributing to Pitt’s linebacker group, known for its consistent performance in recent years.
