Spears Business Ranks 16th in U.S. News & World Report’s Latest Rankings
Oklahoma State University’s exceptional online MBA program has once again been recognized as one of the finest in the nation, as evidenced by the recent unveiling of the U.S. News & World Report 2024 Best Online Programs rankings. The online MBA offered by the Spears School of Business has advanced to the 16th spot in the 2024 rankings, achieving a coveted position within the top 20 for the first time.
Dr. Jim Payne, the dean of Spears Business, expressed his pride in the program’s success, stating, “The Spears School of Business has consistently showcased academic excellence, as highlighted by our recent achievement of securing a top-20 position in the U.S. News & World Report rankings for our online MBA program. This accomplishment underscores the unwavering commitment of our faculty and staff in delivering a superior educational experience for our students.”
The Spears Business online MBA program shares the 16th rank in the 2024 rankings among over 1,600 online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, utilizing tailored metrics for online learning. Moreover, it stands as the second-highest-ranking program among Big 12 Conference institutions. Over the past five years, the online MBA program at Spears Business has steadily climbed the ranks in the esteemed U.S. News & World Report listings, progressing from 40th place in 2020 to 27th place in 2023.
In addition to the recognition received by the online MBA program, U.S. News & World Report also acknowledged the outstanding quality of the online MBA in business analytics, the online MBA programs designed for veterans, and the overall online business master’s degree offerings at Spears Business. These accolades take into account the caliber of faculty, teaching methodologies, and the educational value provided to students.
OSU’s online MBA in business analytics shares the 20th spot in the rankings, while for services catering to veterans, OSU is tied at 14th place for online MBA programs tailored for veterans. In the realm of online graduate business programs, excluding the MBA, OSU shares the 87th position.
Dr. Ramesh Sharda, the vice dean for research and graduate programs, expressed his satisfaction with the program’s consistent rise in the rankings, attributing this success to the collective efforts of students, faculty, program administrators, and the MBA advisory board.
The rankings conducted by U.S. News & World Report evaluate online programs that enable students to complete degrees through virtual learning platforms. These rankings are formulated based on school surveys encompassing factors such as faculty expertise, graduation rates, teaching methodologies, admission criteria, and the reputation of the programs among accredited business schools.
The MBA program at Spears Business at OSU has witnessed remarkable growth, with a staggering 209% surge in enrollment since 2020. Presently, more than 330 individuals are enrolled in online MBA courses through OSU.
