### Oregon State Achieves 10th Consecutive Top-10 National Online Ranking

CORVALLIS, Ore. — Oregon State University has once again secured its position as one of the top 10 online education providers in the nation for the 10th consecutive year, according to U.S. News & World Report. This remarkable achievement sets Oregon State apart as the only institution in the country with such a consistent track record.

The latest rankings, released today, place Oregon State at No. 4 out of nearly 350 higher education institutions in the online education category. The university’s exceptional performance is attributed to the expertise of its faculty and their adeptness in delivering tailored instruction for the online learning environment.

At the forefront of this success is Oregon State Ecampus, the university’s online education division, which collaborates with over 1,200 OSU faculty members to offer more than 100 online programs, including 47 bachelor’s degrees.

President Jayathi Murthy expressed pride in Oregon State’s recognition as a paragon of excellence in online teaching and learning, underscoring the institution’s commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education in alignment with its land grant mission.

During the previous fall term, over 11,000 OSU students engaged in exclusive online learning, constituting over 30% of the student body. Through Ecampus’s concerted efforts with academic advisors, administrators, and faculty from all 11 OSU colleges, as well as the Honors College and Graduate School, students from all 50 states and nearly 60 countries are served.

Among these students is John Dusek, a recent graduate who pursued bachelor’s degrees in horticulture and sustainability through online coursework. Operating a greenhouse in central Michigan, Dusek credits his Ecampus education for equipping him with practical knowledge that has enabled him to make a positive difference in his community.

Oregon State also received additional top-25 rankings from U.S. News & World Report:

  • No. 2 – Best Online Psychology Bachelor’s Programs.
  • No. 3 – Best Online Business Bachelor’s Programs.
  • No. 13 – Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans.
  • No. 22 – Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs.

Since its debut in the top 10 Best Online Bachelor’s Programs in 2015, Oregon State has witnessed significant growth in online enrollment, program offerings, and faculty engagement. The university aims for further expansion, with a strategic plan targeting a surge in online-only enrollment to 30,000 by 2030.

Vice Provost Lisa L. Templeton of OSU’s Division of Educational Ventures emphasized Oregon State’s ongoing commitment to delivering innovative online learning solutions that cater to the evolving needs of students and the workforce on a global scale.
