### New U.S. News & World Report Rankings Showcase Ohio State’s Graduate Programs

The graduate and professional programs at The Ohio State University maintain their position among the nation’s and the state’s best, as per the 2024-25 edition of America’s Best Graduate Schools by U.S. News & World Report.

Various colleges at Ohio State have achieved high rankings for their degrees and specialty programs in the latest edition. The Master of Science (MS) program at Ohio State is ranked No. 1 among public institutions in the country, while the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program is once again listed among the top 20 nationally.

Notably, the College of Nursing’s in-person MS program has climbed to the 4th position overall, a significant improvement from eighth place last year. This program has consistently been in the top 10 for the past six years.

The Working Professional MBA at Ohio State is ranked fifth among part-time programs in public colleges and universities (10th overall), marking the third occasion in the last five years that it has been recognized as a top 10 program.

Karla Zadnik, interim executive vice president and provost, expressed pride in Ohio State’s graduate and professional programs, highlighting their excellence across various disciplines. These accolades reflect the university’s dedication to nurturing future leaders, scholars, and practitioners.

While U.S. News rankings cover only a fraction of Ohio State’s programs, the university enrolls over 14,000 graduate and professional students across 102 doctoral and 127 master’s programs.

Here are some key highlights from the U.S. News 2024-25 rankings of Ohio State graduate programs by college:

  • The College of [ppp1] has seen improvements in its natural and mathematical science graduate programs, with computer science ranking 27th. Additionally, its social and behavioral sciences graduate programs, including audiology (9) and speech language pathology (14), are ranked in the top 20.

  • The College of [ppp2] is ranked 21st nationwide in graduate education programs, with seven specialty programs in the top 10 nationally. These include educational administration (6), curriculum and instruction (7), and student counseling (7), among others.

  • Fisher’s full-time MBA program has significantly improved its standing, reaching 11th among public institutions (30th overall).

  • The College of [ppp3] has moved up in the rankings to 16th, with its clinical doctorate programs in physical therapy and occupational therapy ranking 8th and 11th, respectively.

  • The [ppp4] remains highly ranked, positioned 26th overall among accredited law schools and ninth nationally among public law schools, with various specialty programs excelling.

  • The College of [ppp5] holds the top position in the state and fourth nationally among all schools of pharmacy, continuing its tradition as a top-ranked program.

  • The College of [ppp6] is ranked 29th overall and is the highest-ranked public health college in Ohio, with three specialty programs recognized for their excellence.
