Interim chancellor Lee Roberts expressed pride in the university’s high rankings, emphasizing Carolina’s commitment to providing a top-tier education. With 20 programs ranking in the top 10 nationally and 23 programs improving their rankings from the previous assessment, UNC’s dedication to academic excellence is evident.

The Gillings School of Public Health achieved the second rank out of 213 schools in its category, leading among public institutions. The School of Social Work tied for fourth place overall and second among public universities, while the School of Nursing and the School of Law claimed spots among the top ten in their respective fields.

Provost Chris Clemens credited the university’s faculty, staff, and students for their hard work in advancing Carolina’s mission through research, teaching, and public service. The rankings serve as a testament to their dedication and contributions to the university’s success.
