### Top Performance by Monroe County Schools in Inaugural Post-Pandemic Ratings

Students in Monroe County schools outperformed other Middle Georgia school systems across various categories on standardized tests during the 2022-23 academic year.

During a recent school board meeting on Tuesday, January 9, Superintendent Dr. Jim Finch highlighted the exceptional performance of Monroe County schools based on the latest testing data. Specifically, Monroe County elementary students and staff achieved a commendable 60th position out of 181 school districts. Similarly, Monroe County Middle School demonstrated impressive results, securing the 17th spot out of the 181 districts. Additionally, Mary Persons students and staff attained a respectable ranking of 50th out of the 181 districts.
