A Marshall University student from Huntington has been awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship for studying abroad. This prestigious scholarship provides recipients, such as Tyler Farley, with up to $5,000 to offset the expenses of their study abroad or internship programs. Additionally, extra funding is accessible for those focusing on learning a critical language during their overseas studies.
Tyler Farley, among the 1,700 undergraduate students chosen nationwide in the October 2023 application round, will benefit from the Gilman scholarship for his 2024 study or internship abroad. The scholars will have the opportunity to engage in academic pursuits or internships in more than 90 countries globally.
