### Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. Headlines LMU’s Global Conversations Series

LOS ANGELES — Loyola Marymount University excels in the fields of law, business, and education, maintaining its position among the top institutions in the country according to the latest U.S. News & World Report 2024 rankings.

Thomas Poon, Ph.D., the executive vice president and provost, expressed pride in the university’s performance, stating, “This year’s U.S. News graduate program rankings again confirm the exceptional strength of our law, business, and education programs. Our commitment to academic excellence and student development is evident in these rankings, underscoring our dedication to providing a transformative learning experience for graduate students.”

In the realm of law, Loyola Law School (LLS) secured the 61st spot in the 2024 Best Law Schools ranking. The school’s part-time program advanced to the 6th position nationwide, marking a four-position improvement from the previous year and maintaining its status as the leading part-time program in the Western region. LLS’ trial advocacy program claimed the 8th position nationally, while its tax law program ranked 13th. Noteworthy advancements were seen in other specialty programs, including the clinical training program, which climbed 23 spots to reach No. 46, and the health care law program, now positioned at No. 41.

The College of Business Administration (CBA) demonstrated excellence in its graduate business programs. The college’s part-time program secured the 66th rank, with four specialty programs making it to the top 25 in the country: International MBA programs (18th), entrepreneurship MBA programs (19th), MBA marketing programs (21st), and management MBA programs (22nd). Additionally, CBA achieved rankings in two new specialty categories: finance MBA programs (33rd) and accounting programs (41st).

In the realm of education, the School of Education (SOE) attained the 76th spot in the 2024 Best Education Schools list, positioning the school as the 2nd among California private institutions and the 7th among all California universities. SOE also maintained its standing as the 2nd among Jesuit universities in the nation.
