Bay Area News Group Boys Basketball Rankings Update

Archbishop Riordan High and Ygnacio Valley made significant strides in the latest Bay Area News Group boys basketball rankings.

Archbishop Riordan climbed into the Top 5, showcasing impressive performances, including a notable victory against Archbishop Mitty in overtime after a tough loss to Salesian. The San Francisco team’s resilience and subsequent wins against Bellarmine and Centennial-Corona earned them the fourth spot in the rankings, with Archbishop Mitty following closely at sixth.

Ygnacio Valley also made a remarkable leap, securing wins in dominating fashion in four consecutive games, notably defeating Clayton Valley Charter. Their strong performances propelled them from 19th to 10th place in the Top 20 rankings.

The upcoming week promises exciting matchups, with two Top 10 showdowns scheduled: Granada facing De La Salle and Dublin hosting San Ramon Valley.
