### UConn’s Graduate Education Achieves Remarkable Success in Latest National Rankings

Graduate education at the University of Connecticut is highly regarded across various fields and disciplines nationwide, according to the latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report.

The Neag School of Education and the School of Business have received notable recognition, along with the School of Law and the School of Social Work, underscoring UConn’s dedication to academic excellence and overall student support.

Neag School’s Impressive Achievement

For the first time, four graduate programs within UConn’s Neag School have been recognized among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report.

Moreover, the Neag School has maintained its position as one of the top 25 public graduate schools of education in the U.S. for the ninth consecutive year, sharing the 24th spot. Nationally, among all graduate schools of education, both public and private, the Neag School is tied at No. 34.

Dean Jason G. Irizarry expressed immense pride in the faculty, staff, and students for these outstanding rankings, emphasizing the school’s commitment to excellence and high standards across all departments.

The Neag School’s specialty education program rankings for 2024 include representation from all three departments, with the special education program climbing four spots from last year’s ranking.

UConn Law’s Ascendancy

UConn School of Law has seen a significant rise of 16 points, securing the 55th position in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings. Additionally, the school’s part-time Evening Division program has advanced to No. 10 nationally.

The school’s strong performance in bar passage rates and post-graduation employment outcomes has contributed to its overall ranking success. Notably, 94% of the Class of 2022 secured employment within 10 months of graduation, with a notable percentage employed in state and federal judicial clerkships.

Dean Eboni S. Nelson commended the dedication to excellence demonstrated by the UConn Law community, highlighting the exceptional achievements of students, staff, and faculty.

UConn Social Work’s Leadership

The UConn School of Social Work has been ranked at No. 28 nationally by U.S. News & World Report, marking a significant improvement from its previous position at No. 36.

Dean and Professor Laura Curran emphasized the school’s strong standing in the graduate social work landscape, showcasing its research initiatives, academic programs, and impactful partnerships.

With a rich history of over 75 years, the UConn SSW offers a comprehensive range of degrees in social work and excels in various research areas, including child and adolescent well-being, health, LGBTQ youth and families, policy practice, and global social work.

Thriving Business Programs at UConn

The UConn School of Business’ part-time MBA program, known as the FLEX MBA, has once again been recognized among the top graduate business programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.

The program has risen to No. 26 in the rankings, showcasing a remarkable improvement over the years. Mia Hawlk, Executive Director of MBA Programs, attributes this success to the program’s focus on enhancing the student experience, introducing innovative courses, and the dedication of the faculty and staff.

Professor Jose M. Cruz, Associate Dean for Graduate Programs, lauded the program’s consistent excellence, rigorous curriculum, emphasis on leadership development, and robust career support, positioning it as a model of quality and innovation in the competitive landscape of business education.

The FLEX MBA program is offered both in-person and online, with approximately 600 students currently enrolled.
