– Vijayawada News: Government to Sign MOU with Intelligence Bureau Today

Vijayawada: The state government is set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Baccalaureate (IB) to revamp the curriculum and provide training in government schools. Collaborating with the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), IB will play a pivotal role in designing a new curriculum tailored for students. The official agreement is scheduled to be inked in the presence of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday.

Commencing in the academic year 2024-25, the initiative will focus on capacity building and training for teachers, with the introduction of IB classes for Class I slated to commence from June 2025. The integration of the IB curriculum will be gradual, progressing up to the SSC level, with a new class being incorporated each subsequent year.

By the academic year 2034-35, students up to Class X will have access to the IB system of education, culminating in a joint certification from IB and the state board post the annual examinations in April 2035. Following this trajectory, the IB system will extend to Class 12 by the academic year 2036-37, with joint certification set to take place in April 2037.
