### Volunteer Opportunity: Front Range Community College Seeks Readers for Scholarship Applications

Westminster, Colorado

Front Range Community College, the largest community college system in Colorado, is seeking volunteers to assist in reviewing scholarship applications due to a significant surge of 34% in submissions, as reported by Beryl Durazo, the school’s executive director of foundation and community partnerships.

The college aims to distribute over $1 million in scholarships to deserving students and is in need of 60 additional volunteers to facilitate the process. Durazo emphasized the importance of engaging with diverse student backgrounds, including adult learners and single parents, to better understand their experiences and support their educational journey.

Volunteers will be responsible for evaluating applications that comprise only three questions. The task can be conveniently completed online from home, with each applicant requiring approximately 20 minutes of review time. Given the substantial volume of applications, volunteers can expect to receive around 10 to 20 assignments this year.

If you are interested in contributing to this initiative, please reach out to [email protected] before the approaching deadline on March 25, providing you with less than two weeks to participate.
