The world-renowned Times Higher Education (THE), a UK-based publisher widely known for its university rankings, has recently unveiled the latest rankings for the best universities by subject. In the 2024 subject rankings, Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) has achieved a remarkable feat by emerging as the sole university representing the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in the field of Business and Economics. Within the Business and Economics category, EMU has been assessed in areas such as Accounting and Finance, Business Administration, and Economics and Econometrics.
In this latest ranking, EMU has secured a position in the 251-300 range in Business and Economics, sharing this ranking with Sabancı University, following Koç University in Turkey. Subsequently, Bilkent University and Middle East Technical University jointly hold the third position in the 301-400 range. Among universities on the island of Cyprus, EMU has claimed the second spot, trailing behind the University of Nicosia.
