After the coverage by the Times last December, it is now the turn of the research magazine to unveil its annual ranking. The Spear’s ranking, initiated in 2020, evaluates schools based on their academic performance, social environment, and pastoral care through a meticulous process of data collection, online surveys, and interviews. Subsequently, the index showcases the top schools worldwide.
In the esteemed ‘top flight’ category, an impressive eight private schools in London have made the prestigious list. That’s right, eight schools in the capital city have been recognized among the best globally!
Unsurprisingly, Harrow secured its position on the list. This school in northwest London, with a history of educating boys since 1572, demonstrated exceptional academic results in both GCSE and A-level examinations, coupled with a stellar reputation in sports.
Additionally, central London schools such as Queen’s College and Westminster School received acknowledgment from Spear’s. The latter, established in the 14th century, boasts an outstanding 96% of IGCSE results achieving grades 7–9.
