Dhirubhai Ambani International School Leads Global IB School Rankings

In a recent announcement by the International Baccalaureate (IB), the Dhirubhai Ambani International School (DAIS) secured the top position worldwide among IB schools. The school achieved a remarkable feat with 11 students emerging as toppers in 2023, each scoring a maximum of 45 points.

According to the official IB website, the IB Diploma Program (IBDP) employs a scoring system that allows a maximum of 45 points, derived from six subjects (with a maximum of 7 points each) in addition to three points from the IB Core, which includes Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), the Extended Essay, and the Theory of Knowledge paper. It is noteworthy that less than 1% of candidates manage to attain the perfect score of 45 points, earning them the title of ‘Toppers’.

Following DAIS, King’s College School in the UK secured the second position with seven top-performing students. The IB website released a list of 22 schools worldwide that produced at least one topper, with these institutions set to receive accolades in recognition of their students’ exceptional achievements. Notable among the eleven toppers from DAIS are Aama Sanghai, Aamav Gogri, Abhimanyu Pandey, Aaryan Jagtap, Aditya Mehta, Advit Ranawade, Anavi Kaul, Arushi Maheshwari, Drhuv Bhalla, Kshitig Seth, and Vivan Turakhia.

Isha Ambani Piramal, the vice-chairperson of DAIS, expressed her pride, stating, “The outstanding performance of our IBDP students from the class of 2023, with 11 individuals attaining the perfect score of 45, underscores their exceptional abilities and diligence. This accomplishment reflects the exceptional dedication and support provided by our educators and leadership team.”

The IBDP is a highly esteemed pre-university program recognized by prominent universities worldwide, with offerings in 5,139 schools across 156 countries.
