### Outstanding DeMotte Woman Recognized as Top Graduate Student

HAMMOND and WESTVILLE — Purdue University Northwest honored exceptional students, faculty, and staff members, who were nominated by their peers, for their contributions to campus community-building and leadership.

The accolades were presented during the university’s 2024 Founders Day festivities, an annual tradition commemorating the university’s establishment and its commitment to driving significant change in the metropolitan region. Founders Day serves as a platform to acknowledge individuals who exemplify PNW’s core values of academics, research, and service to both the campus and the communities of Northwest Indiana. Additionally, PNW recognized certain employees for their dedicated years of service.

Award Recipients

Two PNW students stood out for their remarkable service in the following categories:

  • Outstanding Graduate Student

    • McKenzie Dinga from DeMotte, pursuing a master’s degree in Technology.
  • Outstanding Undergraduate Student

    • Dikshant Sharma, a fourth-year student majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
