Several teams will be participating in tournament matches this week before returning to their regular league schedule next week. Here is an overview of the current top 10 high school baseball teams according to the Daily Breeze:

1. WEST TORRANCE 13-5

West Torrance secured victories against Wiseburn Da Vinci (7-0 and 12-5) in the Pioneer League last week. They began the Santa Ana Elks Tournament with a 2-1 triumph over Beckman, with Cameron O’Neill pitching a complete game.

2. MIRA COSTA 10-7-1

Mira Costa completed a Bay League sweep by overcoming Culver City with a 9-8 scoreline on Friday. Despite trailing 8-1, Mira Costa staged a remarkable comeback by scoring eight runs for the win, setting the stage for an important series against Palos Verdes next week.

Schedule for this week: Mira Costa will be participating in the National Classic in Orange County, commencing with a match against Servite on Tuesday.

3. TORRANCE 11-5-1

Torrance split the Pioneer League series with El Segundo last week. In the 13-3 victory, six players recorded at least two hits, but the team struggled offensively in the 6-0 loss with only four hits.
