Applications are currently open for college scholarships offered by the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board (NDB), funded by America’s dairy farmers and importers. The NDB will award eleven scholarships valued at \(2,500 each, along with the prestigious \)3,500 James H. Loper Jr. Memorial Scholarship presented to an exceptional recipient. The NDB is supported by Dairy Management Inc. (DMI), which oversees the national dairy checkoff program.
Eligible candidates are undergraduate students in their sophomore through senior year, planning to enroll in college programs with a focus on dairy-related studies. Suitable majors include communications/public relations, journalism, marketing, business, economics, nutrition, food science, and agriculture education.
Selection for these scholarships is based on academic excellence, a keen interest in pursuing a career in a dairy-related field, and a demonstration of leadership qualities, proactive behavior, and ethical conduct.
