In WINSTON-SALEM, the Central Cabarrus boys’ basketball team showcased their prowess without bias. Dominating opponents throughout the season, they approached the 3A state championship game with unwavering determination.

Facing off against Fayetteville Seventy-First at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Central Cabarrus took an early lead by scoring the first 10 points, setting the tone for the game. With consistent performance, they secured a resounding 90-62 victory, clinching their second consecutive state title and solidifying their legacy in Cabarrus County’s basketball history.

The Vikings, boasting a flawless 33-0 record, extended their winning streak to an impressive 65 games, with only one loss in the past three years. Celebrating their achievement, guard Carson Daniel emphasized their unique playing style and the team’s commitment to representing and uplifting their community.

Central Cabarrus made a statement on the court, captivating the audience with standout moments like DJ Kent’s electrifying one-handed dunk.
