### Top 10 Public Business Schools for Academic Experience: Binghamton University School of Management

For its third consecutive year, the School of Management (SOM) has been recognized among fully public institutions.

Out of the 91 schools assessed for [ppp1], the SOM secured a position in the top 10 among fully public institutions for [ppp1], achieving the 21st spot overall in a category that evaluates a school’s capacity to challenge and support student development effectively.

SOM’s ranking saw a notable improvement in [ppp2], climbing to 28th place, and a significant leap from the 2023 list to secure the 32nd spot in [ppp3]. This particular category assesses how graduates are perceived by the job market and top employers upon leaving the institution.

The rankings developed by Poets & Quants were based on various data points, including admission criteria, post-graduation outcomes, and feedback from alumni of the undergraduate class of 2021 regarding their academic journey.

Dean Shelley Dionne expressed gratitude for the collective effort of the SOM community in achieving these accolades, highlighting the institution’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for student growth, delivering a top-tier education at a remarkable value, and guiding students towards successful careers in leading global companies. She emphasized the school’s focus on leveraging data analytics and technology across all business facets to equip SOM students with the skills needed to excel as pioneers and influencers in their fields.

SOM has consistently maintained its position as one of the premier public business schools in the country, with previous recognition from the Wall Street Journal for its graduates’ success.

Furthermore, SOM faculty members have once again been lauded among the nation’s finest business professors for the fourth consecutive year. Debi Mishra, associate professor of marketing, and Chou-Yu (Joey) Tsai, Osterhout assistant professor of entrepreneurship, were specifically mentioned in the Poets & Quants rankings.

These distinguished individuals were selected based on recommendations from students, alumni, and peers, with SOM standing out as one of only 12 institutions out of the 33 included in the ranking to have two faculty members featured on the prestigious list.
