Vicky Kaushal unveiled the trailer for the upcoming comedy film produced by Sriram Raghavan and helmed by Varun Grover.
The creators of All India Rank revealed the movie’s trailer on Monday. Actor Vicky Kaushal posted the trailer, providing a realistic glimpse into the competitive pursuit of securing an IIT seat. The film, crafted by the renowned writer of Sacred Games, marks his directorial debut and premiered as the opening film at the 12th Dharamshala International Film Festival. (Also Read: )

Sharing the trailer on Instagram on Monday, Kaushal mentioned, “Both of us engineers embarked on our journey in the world of cinema almost simultaneously with… Masaan. ‘Why does this sorrow never end, buddy!’ A dialogue penned by him has now become one of the most memorable scenes in my filmography.”

The two-and-a-half-minute trailer depicts the story of a 17-year-old boy from Lucknow in the 90s who grapples with his family’s high expectations. He is preparing for India’s most challenging undergraduate exam at an IIT coaching center in Kota, facing numerous challenges along the way. The narrative seems to revolve around his perseverance amidst adversity.

Varun, renowned for his work in projects like and Masaan, steps into the director’s chair for the first time with this film. The cast of All India Rank includes Bodhisattva Sharma, Samta Sudiksha, Shashi Bhushan, Geeta Agrawal, and Sheeba Chaddha in pivotal roles. Sanjay Routray and Sarita Patil produce the film, with Gayatri M serving as the co-producer. Set to release in theaters on February 23, the movie features music by Mayukh – Mainak, with Varun also contributing to the lyrics.
