### Best School Award and Cash Prizes Presented to 3 District Schools in Tarn Taran

Today, during a ceremony, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains presented the Best School Awards to 69 schools in Punjab. A total of Rs 5.17 crore was distributed as award money to support the enhancement of infrastructure in these schools. Bains emphasized that this initiative is a significant stride towards improving school facilities, with a focus on beautifying school buildings and enhancing the overall quality of education.

Each school honored at the event received a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh, Rs 7.5 lakh, and Rs 5 lakh, respectively. The selection process involved choosing one senior secondary, one high school, and one middle school from every district in Punjab.

The criteria for selecting the best school from each district were based on various educational parameters specific to government schools in the state.

Notable awardees in the senior secondary school category included Government Girls Senior Secondary School on Mahana Singh Road in Amritsar, and Government Senior Secondary School in Goindwal Sahib, Tarn Taran. These schools were recognized as the Best School in their respective districts and were granted Rs 10 lakh each as part of the award.

In the high school category, Government High School Guru Wali in Amritsar, and Government High School Algo Kothi in Taran Taran, received awards along with cash prizes of Rs 7.5 lakh each.

Furthermore, in the middle school category, Government Middle School in Kot Mahana Singh, Amritsar, and Government Middle School in Bela, Tarn Taran, were awarded Rs 5 lakh each along with the prestigious recognition.
