### NTA Introduces 14 New Overseas Centers for NEET-UG Examination

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made a recent decision to introduce additional examination centers overseas for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG).

This decision by the NTA followed requests from aspiring candidates, as the initial information bulletin did not include any reference to international test centers.

As a result, applications are now being accepted from candidates residing abroad who wish to take the NEET UG. The registration process for this entrance exam commenced on February 9 and will conclude on March 9.

According to Sadhna Parashar, the NTA’s senior director (Exams), the exam will now be held in 14 foreign cities across 12 countries. These cities include Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah (UAE); Kuwait City (Kuwait); Bangkok (Thailand); Colombo (Sri Lanka); Doha (Qatar); Kathmandu (Nepal); Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia); Lagos (Nigeria); Manama (Bahrain); Muscat (Oman); Riyadh (Saudi Arabia); and Singapore.

In addition to the overseas locations, the exam will also take place at 554 centers within India.

Candidates who initially chose an Indian center and paid the fees but now wish to switch to an international center can do so during the correction window.

Furthermore, applicants from foreign countries can select international centers directly during the application process. Any changes made during the correction window will require the payment of the price difference.

The NEET UG application form, information bulletin, syllabus, and exam pattern can be accessed at neet.ntaonline.in. Previously, these documents were available on neet.nta.nic.in.

NEET-UG serves as the qualifying entrance examination for various medical courses, including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, BHMS, as well as BSc (H) Nursing.
