According to a survey conducted by Kubi Kalloo, the United Kingdom remains the top destination for Greek students seeking to pursue their studies abroad.
The research, which involved 1,700 young individuals aged 16-34 from France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy, and Greece with an interest in studying overseas within the next three years, highlighted the UK’s popularity among Greek students.
In the 2021-22 academic year, a total of 7,100 Greek students opted for the UK as their educational destination, positioning Greece as the eighth largest contributor of EU students to British universities. Impressively, 42% of Greek students identified the UK as their primary choice for international studies, with the US and Germany following closely behind.
The decision to select the UK as their study location was influenced by various factors such as the exceptional quality of education and research, the diverse array of tailored programs catering to students’ interests, and the overall value derived from their academic pursuits.
Despite the appeal of studying in the UK, Greek students expressed concerns regarding admission requirements, the cost of living, and the visa application process as key apprehensions that require careful consideration.
