### Julie Posselt appointed as the new head of CERPP

The new executive director of the Center for Enrollment Research, Policy and Practice (CERPP) is the Professor of Education, Julie Posselt.

CERPP is dedicated to promoting equity in educational access, college admissions, and outcomes. The center’s initiatives include certifying admissions specialists, hosting an annual conference with national leaders in college admissions, running the College Access Center (CAC) for Los Angeles students, and conducting innovative research on college admissions.

Julie Posselt expressed her enthusiasm for joining CERPP, emphasizing her alignment with the organization’s mission to bridge research, policy, and practice to enhance postsecondary access.

The founder of CERPP, who led the center until 2022, praised Posselt’s appointment, highlighting her expertise in advancing equity in college enrollment through research and service.

Posselt, a professor of education at USC Rossier, brings a wealth of experience in admissions, equity in STEM fields, and higher education culture and well-being. She has received notable grants and recognition for her work, including publications in academic journals and authored books on equity in graduate education.

As the incoming executive director, Posselt aims to continue CERPP’s impactful projects, foster research-practice collaborations, and establish a visiting scholars program to further the center’s mission of promoting accessibility and success in higher education.

Pedro Noguera, the dean of USC Rossier School of Education, commended Posselt’s leadership and research contributions, expressing confidence in CERPP’s continued success under her guidance.

Julie Posselt is set to assume her new role on February 1, bringing her expertise and vision to drive CERPP’s mission forward.
